About / Methodology
We have a straightforward seven point plan of how we work with you. And it goes like this.
1. Website Design Brief
The first step is we ask you to complete our Website Design Brief. Through this we find out all about your business and what you want to achieve with your website. From here we normally have a couple of meetings (via phone or email) until we're all on the same wavelength about your business, your existing marketing strategy and your websites goals.
2. Information Architecture
This is where we draw up an overview of your website showing what pages, sections, features, etc your website will comprise of. It's like a house plan, but for a your website.
3. Content
This is where we put together the content (text, photographs, illustrations) for your site. If we're doing the copywriting, we'll ask for any brochures or written material you may have. If photography is needed, we'll assign a photographer.
4. Interface Design
This is the creative stage where we'll design up to two sets of page mockups (up to three pages each) of what your website will look like. Once you're happy with the look, we'll ask you to signoff.
5. Coding
Firstly we create an XHTML/CSS template of your website based on the approved interface designs. Then we use those templates to build the actual site structure, populate the pages with content, setup any forms, software, etc, and if necessary make an any final tweaks to the design.
6. Testing
Nearly done! Your site will now be on one of our testing servers for you to review. We'll make any small corrections to the copy, and when your happy with everything, provide a final signoff.
7. Launch
Ten, nine, eight, seven... Only joking. Really, all we do is edit few lines of code on the server and bingo, your website is live!
